Operational Oversight
Operational surveillance is a specific method of conspiratorial collection of data and information consisting of the continuous and discreet surveillance for a specified period of time of a person, group and/or location, used when there is a suspicion or a need for information relating to any of these.
A highly resource-intensive and staff-intensive operation, operational surveillance is used in cases where obtaining, completing, verifying or corroborating information of interest cannot be done by other investigative methods.
